One of the fun things to do on Etsy is create and shop Treasury lists. These are handpicked shopping lists of items from all over the site pulled together by Etsy users and staff. When you view the home page and see the handpicked items, you are looking at a Treasury. The lists usually have a theme that they stick to so that all of the items shown are related to the theme. Some are really hard to imagine that they go together but most Treasury lists are really amazing groups of items. It is amazing to scroll through the many, many Treasuries and see what the talented users and staff put together daily.
I started creating these a while back and found that it was fun to hunt for items for a theme. Sometimes while I may have one idea in mind when I started, I found that the end result of my items represented something different all together. Really it is a way of showcasing items you like while promoting those items for others….you know, a form of Marketing!
Below is my most recent Treasury, Romancing the Stone. I have been getting supplies together to make some more jewelry and while shopping at Michael’s the theme hit me. My Treasury is all about jewelry featuring gemstones.
