When I came home today, I noticed a black tiger swallowtail in the yard by the carport. That was the first black one I had seen this season.
And this afternoon when I was grilling I found a pair of yellow tigers on the phlox out front. I ran in and grabbed the camera to snap a few shots.
They were both very busy working the phlox.
I am wondering if they were newbies, as their wings seemed so perfect.
I even caught one of them mid flutter!
They are so graceful as they move from flower to flower.
I just love when they are in the garden. They are a joy to watch.
