Last week I changed out some of the decorations in our house and added some of the Easter things that I have. I don’t go way out, but I do like to have a few cute bunnies here and there and a banner on the fireplace. Well, this week I started feeling like maybe I neglected St. Patrick’s Day. I didn’t really have anything to decorate with, but still wanted to show my Irish Spirit.
I had a day off in the middle of the week and hit one of the local craft stores and they had all of their St. Patrick’s Day Decor on sale, deep discount sale, which caught my attention. I found these glitter covered shamrocks and thought they would make a cute door decoration, but I needed something a little more than just the shamrocks. I found a roll of shamrock covered ribbon (also deeply discounted) and figured I could make some kind of hanger for the shamrocks.
Well, as you can see, I ended up making just a simple bow with the ribbon and hung it with my shamrocks on the front door. Easy, simple and St. Patrick himself would be proud. And, it only cost $7! Wow! How lucky is that? Now I can happily show my Irish Spirit without breaking my bank!
