Love is in the Air

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and Love is in the Air!  I didn’t go all out decorating this year but I did put a few little pieces in my craft room to enjoy while I worked.

I found these decorations a few years ago – sorry, I cannot remember where, but I fell in love with them because they feature vintage ephemera AND they are sparkly and glittery.  Yup, I love, love, love sparkly and glittery.

These two little glass boxes have managed to survive Katiebelle, who also loves glittery and sparkly things.  A couple of times I have come home and found these on the floor.  I wasn’t sure how it happened until I caught her climbing up and trying to unhang them by pulling them down with her mouth!  I am keeping my fingers crossed that they make it a few more days!

And these little glass bottles have also survived the Katie monster.  I think I may try to make some more of these.  They look to be pretty simple with an image glued on the bottle and a glitter border.  Add some ribbon and a little bling with a wire handle and BAM!  You’re Done!

I have lots of vintage images I could use, and not just for Valentine’s Day – I could do other holidays, too.  Oh, Halloween would be fun!  Hmm…I think I feel a project coming on.

And this little heart shaped box is just a paper box covered in craft paper with a piece of pipe cleaner added to the top.  Yup, I am feeling like a project is in order.  Maybe I will start with Easter.  I bet I could find some really cute little bunnies and chicks.  I’ll let you know if I follow through…but whether I do or don’t, I at least hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow!  After all, Love is in the Air!
