Since I shared another picture yesterday of the “Kitty Kids,” I thought I would share an update on how everyone is getting along since we adopted Spencer and Katherine in December. Here are some pictures of how they spent their Sunday.

Dixie hung out by the window watching the birds and making sure the plants were ok. Everyone else was asleep but she was wide awake.

Pixie had found a nice place to curl up by the fire. She is now playing quite a bit with the newbies and she will let Spencer have it when he has gone to far. Both she and Dixie are pretty well adjusted to the fact that these two are not going away.

She still likes to have one on one time with Mommie and Daddy when she can, too. And try as he might, she let’s Spencer know that she is still the top cat around here.

Katie, aka Katie Belle, continues to be an all around little sweetheart. She likes to be where everyone else is and will cry if she winds up alone or by herself while she looks for her brother or one of us. She has gotten that new nickname of Katie Belle. It is just something I started and now Keith calls her that sometimes, too. Neither one really knows their names yet, but they recognize our voices. And Katie will come to Keith when he snaps his fingers. She and Spencer are excellent cuddlers and bed hogs.

And then there is Spencer. He has such a little personality. He comes running when you come home and loves to bump his head into you to get your attention.

He also loves to lick my face in the middle of the night and purrs all the time. He likes to sleep right in between Keith and I at night and also likes to snuggle his head on my neck when he is not giving me a bath. He is into everything and teaches all his tricks to Katie except how to get through the cat door into the laundry room. He figured that out quickly but she still has not been able to master going through yet.

All in all, everyone is getting along great. Pixie and Dixie have adapted and are engaging with the youngsters and Spencer and Katie have made themselves right at home. Life is good for the Kitty Kids in our house.
